Comment: Very interesting!
Very interesting!
I've studied breathing meditations, visual focused meditations (meditation disk), sound meditations (binaural beats and tibetan bowls), chants like the "Om" meditations as well, recently the TM method worked quite well and I found that the more methods of meditation I learned the more they all sort of guided me to this "Zazen" type of meditation.
By far remembering how to be present in the moment is key not only to meditation but to life. We spend time regretting the past and worrying about the future and never realizing that both of those only exist NOW, when you are thinking of them. The more control one gets over their NOW awareness, the better they'll be prepared and aware of what's to come and also be able to make peace with what has been.
Helped me understand the power of forgiveness.
