3 reasons to doubt the authenticity of this

1. I've never heard (before now) of Ron Paul tweeting ANYTHING. If he has something to say, he would say it in more than just a few sentence tweet.

2. Ron Paul has never been known to criticize the military, only the government. This also contradicts his philosophy of avoiding personal attacks on anyone. Maybe the statement can be construed as a general statement, but coming so close off the individual's death seems just wrong and unlike what Ron Paul would say.

3. Ron Paul usually doesn't waste his time on topical news stories unless its to warn us about some illegal, secretive, undeclared war.
