It related back to being raped, and resulted in a huge hole of "I'm helpless" in my psyche. Time learning to use a weapon was actually a key element of my learning to feel "in control" of my life again.
I know that is not the same as war induced PTSD, but the statement is still not correct, and it is unlike Ron Paul to speak so broadly and be so wrong.
