I was scrolling through the comments in hope that there was someone who knew this. I had a grandfather up the line who fought in the Revolution on the "Confederate Line" (as stated on his discharge papers)
Unfortunately, the Confederacy collapsed in 1865 and people are still taught to believe the Civil War was to abolish slavery. They fail to see if that was the case the South would not have succeeded leaving the only hope for abolishing slavery to a 2/3's vote that they would have never achieved. The Civil war was over who was in charge, the Fed over the State over the People or the People over the State over the Fed.
