I think in his case you may be wrong
To come home and write a book and be so proud of the lives taken(lets forget IF they deserved to die - I dont believe so - but that is another discussion) does not exactly tell me he was merely going all primal instinct.
And yes - in combat it's great to have that guy covering your back side - but when you leave the combat zone and you reflect - you probably shouldn't be thinking - geesh - that was sooo cool - let's make a million bucks telling about it.
Murderer - no not in they eyes of the law - but God may have something to say about that in the end - and I think it will be a hard sell.
