The Bible verse affirms a Universal law that simply can not be denied...Karma...same as treat others as you want to be treated. A man who makes a living assassinating people will have violence come back to him. There is a difference between using a gun on your own property in self defense when being violated and using your gun half way around the world in another country to assassinate people. It is easy to be pro 2nd amendment and anti violence. I think the confusion for you relates to Bible study...or lack thereof. Jesus often spoke in parables and other non direct ways that require some spirituality to understand. For example, in Matthew 10:34...do you think Jesus showed up in this world with an actual physical sword to hand over to man? No, so there must be some other meaning. Ron tweeted a verse that affirms Karma...which he has referred to as "unintended consequences" and at times "blow back". I think the purpose of the tweet was to say "look...this is what I've been trying to tell you people for a long time now...and here is a prime example". But, just like Jesus' teachings often fell on deaf ears, so does Ron's (often they're the same).
“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”
- President John F. Kennedy
