Again, it depends...

...on which view is correct:

1. Eternal, conscious torment -- that definitely is an effect on atheists/agnostics!
2. Annihilation -- that is also an effect, but I guess that's kind of the outcome atheists/agnostics are expecting to be their lot anyway, if there is no God
3. Modified pluralism: like #1,2 or 4, given rejection/lack of faith
4. Ultimate redemption: definite effect on all who reject God (those who reject light will find outer darkness; those who reject Love will find out what separation from it really means) -- unpardonable, until the defiant fist is lowered and the prodigal truly cries out for light and Love once again -- no walk in the park
