I respect John Stewart. He does a lot of good pointing out the hypocrisy of politicians on both sides and does it in a way that appeals to a broad group of people. However, I seem to be getting tired of people trying to make jokes out of very serious issues. Bombing citizens, Al Quaeda affiliates or otherwise, is not something that should be joked around about. These memos coming out are basically laying the standard for excuses to kill citizens without a trial. The Constitution defines treason as "shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort". If bombing/assassinating me (or any other citizen) isn't "levying of war" then we need to amend the Constitution. If it is "levying of war", there is only one punishment for traitors.
