I think Eric has a point. The institutions he's cited have a great deal of influence on the mind, which is the ultimate battlefield. Some of the first movie theaters were playing propaganda to support war efforts.

Just look at the impact that Pearl Harbor had on our Nation which was mostly isolationist after WWI. And yes, I meant to use the word isolationist because we mostly were. The "America First" party dissolved pretty quickly after the attack.

The quote from Rothschild makes a good deal of sense as well.

"Give me the wealth of a nation and I care not who makes its laws."

I think it was Kissinger who said "if you want to control a Nation you control the resources. If you want to control the people, you control the food."

"He who has the gold makes the rules."
