If I may: you might want to look into Jin Shin Jyutsu, or other energy healing modality (I'm most familiar with JSJ). All energy healing involves placement of the hands, which channel the energy, and deep breathing, which helps to move it. In JSJ, there are 26 points on the body (generally pairs of points, left/right), and you "jumper-cable" two points together by placing the fingertips of one hand on one point, and the other on another point.

I'm no expert, so I'd need to look up what works best for eyes.

Which I just did (in the book "The Touch of Healing" by Alice Burmeister), it says for eyestrain (page 166), hold #4 (back of the head where skull starts), and opposite #21 (cheekbone). There's a diagram on-line of the points, let me find it:
