Do whatever diet you want, but..

...please don't use The China Study to support your claims. It was very thoroughly debunked by Denise Minger, among others.

I personally ate vegan (properly) for a long time and got very sick. In fact, I am still reaping the consequences even after 20 years, and I know of others in the same boat.

I would agree that CERTAIN meats and dairy products (FACTORY FARMING) may indeed facilitate disease, but the outcome of eating properly-raised, compassionately-raised animals is quite different and leads to vibrant health.

Do some research with an open mind and you might conclude, like many other libertarians, that a paleo/primal style of eating will produce optimal health.

Although I detest her ultra lib politics and radical feminist philosophy, Lierre Keith's THE VEGETARIAN MYTH is a good read for anyone who is vegan or vegetarian.
