It appears...

you misunderstood my post and then begin to label me as an "elitist". And I haven't had a chance to know what your name is.

But since I'm an elitist, I'll share something that no other elitist will tell you and I wont charge you a thing, I call this the Carnegie charity.

From a political stance, freedom is what government can or cannot give you and liberty is what you are born with and in its purest form it's choice. For example (loosely), I'm at liberty to commit fraud but I do not have the freedom to commit fraud; hence why till this day we have fraud. To be clear, I'm not advocating fraud since the Constitution was clearly written to prevent fraud, but you get the idea. Come to think of it, the Constitution gave the government enough "freedom" to protect our "liberties".

For you to believe that neocons and liberals believe in "freedom", considering that our freedoms have been reduced under such awful philosophies in the last 4 decades, is just naive.

While I'm the first to jump in to welcome new converts, its always important to remember and teach them that the use of the word freedom technically is referred to what government should or should not allow you to do.

Which ultimately is the difference between hack GOP who want to control my freedom and those who are more liberty minded and want to preserve choice.

And now you know. And knowing is half the battle.
