this can really get tricky! I think that the offer was a huge tactical error on the part on RonPaul.com and they should have had an attorney make contact. They could have easily squeezed 10-20k or more out of Dr. Paul if they had played their cards right despite the blatant trademark violations (not that I agree with the squeezing). In all seriousness though, what is the value of RonPaul.com without the value of the trademark owned by common law? The ONLY legitimate value is that the domain is pronounceable. "Ron" and "Paul" do not exist as dictionary terms. 50K would have been a dream for the domain owners, and if they have any brain they will settle before the review.
