...think there is something to St. Malachy's prophecy of all the line of popes, they will be especially interested to see who is going to replace Benedict now that he's resigned. According to the prophecy, the next pope will be the last pope whose reign will see the judgment arrive. He's mysteriously named Petrus Romanus (which is kind of a bookend it seems to the idea that the first pope was the Apostle Peter.) Take it or leave it, but add it to the pile of things that is making things feel dark and foreboding in these troubled times.
