I irks me to no end when people talk about the "American Dream". We live in a country of 317,000,000 individuals and we are suppose to conform to some fantasy idea of the American Dream. You are right, it is something that is pounded into our brains from childhood in order to keep us slaves.
So what is the American Dream? It is different for each of us but the original American Dream was to be free from government oppression and interference in our every day lives. To bad it turned out to be the American Pipe Dream.
