I second that bump.

The power of liberty is in its message, not its messenger. And while individuals who we admire in the liberty movement change or pass away, the most powerful event was not them exercising their personal power to change the system directly, but rather them passing the torch of liberty to the next generation.

Even if Ron Paul were elected, his presidential powers would of failed in comparison to the impact that he has had on "spreading" the message of liberty. In this way the message survives multiple generations and is beyond any one individual.
