But this is not a mistake. Not a mistake for me, at least.
If people desert the site because of this, then so be it. Then my work is done, and I'll move on to other pastures. That is fine by me, and I accept that. The important thing for me, and I believe for everyone, is to stay true to themselves.
I can't run a site that I don't believe in. I believe in letting people continue to discuss, and post news about Rand. I just don't want it to overwhelm the rest of the site. I've been bored with the singular topic of Ron Paul for quite a while now, and if it just morphs into the singular topic of Rand, I think I'd go crazy. I'd have to leave. Then I would sell the site to the highest bidder. And I don't think anyone would be happy with that.
At any rate, we all make mistakes. That also is part of being human.
It was a very special time, running the Daily Paul during the campaign. But everything passes; everything changes. So you just do what you think you should do.
I'm not trying to hurt Rand. I'm just trying to keep my own sanity. You have no idea what it is like to be the sole individual responsible for all of this.
Like the Pope, dude, I'm ready to retire!
But this is not the end of it all. It won't be the same as before - it never can be. But I think that is the mistake so many of us make. We can't relive the past, and we can't hold onto it. Whatever is coming down the pike - we have to create our futures and our presents, every moment.
This is not the end of it all. Every day is a new beginning and you're a new person. Don't ever look back. (Something might be gaining on you!)
Good night friend.
It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society. - Krishnamurti. (But don't mind the fool.)
