Comment: Confiscation is not going to happen in MO.

(See in situ)

Confiscation is not going to happen in MO.

These bills originate from Democrats who are from St. Louis. The state of Missouri is split with liberals being elected in the big cities and conservatives being elected in the rural areas, but the conservatives control the legislature.

This is just a stage show to make the public think people in Missouri want gun confiscation, which is the opposite of the truth. It is much more likely that a bill will pass that makes it a felony to enforce a new federal gun control bill, and another bill is being considered that would allow arming of school personnel.

No confiscation bills like this have a chance of passage in Missouri, which is a gun friendly State. And if such a bill were passed, my guess is that anyone voting on them, their staffs, and their families would literally become targets of some angry gun owners. The anger in the Missouri countryside is palpable.

"Bend over and grab your ankles" should be etched in stone at the entrance to every government building and every government office.
