I wonder about Iranian disinformation

Why is it so desperate?? Is it meant to make a joke of nuclear claims as a clever misdirection? Or are things in Iran as bad as they seem. Our history with Iraq says the latter is true. Ten years working on a nuclear power plant and nothing to show for it may be destabilizing.
