Have you paid taxes? What were the supposed reasons for you and everyone else to have to pay those taxes, aside from the usual BS excuse of maintaining roads? To help out the less fortunate as well? Are you in that category in need of assistance? Look at it as if ALL the different kinds of taxes that you and your family have paid on a daily basis are actually insurance policy payments. Now collect on the insurance that you've been forced to pay against your will all this time. Hopefully that makes you feel a little less guilty.
