Carnival had issued an apology to all passengers affected by the accident and offered them 100 Loyalty Club points redeemable on any future cruise.
I've actually been on a Carnival cruse before, and it wasn't bad. The worst part about it was that I thought we were going to the Caribbean (St. John), and found out at the checkin counter that we were actually going up to Canada (St. John). I had to reorient my whole worldview in a matter of about 30 seconds.
There was no way to reorient the wardrobe I had packed, however.
