Anne-Robert-Jacques Turgot, Baron de Laune (10 May 1727 – 18 March 1781) great French economist to king Louis XVI, and statesman.
He is criticised for being too rash in pushing Libertarianism too quickly while surrounded and outnumbered by neocons and those dependent on government largesse, causing him to be removed from a position of influence.
Criticism of the methods used by current Libertarian office holders should ideally come from folks familiar with what these people are up against, and what has worked, or not worked in the past.
