revolution, but it sure defines who will be on which side.
Just like all revolutions and civil wars, there are at least two sides, and the violence is not just army against rebels. Particularly in a guerrilla type uprising, which is what I expect will characterize the inevitable uprising here, there will be much interpersonal violence, neighbor against neighbor, complete with assassinations, bombings, sabotage, and small scale hit and run raids.
What differences we have now that are still settled in the broken political process, will simply be settled during the uprising with violence. Nobody on either side will be safe, and it is unlikely anyone will be able to safely stay neutral. There will be an either "with us" or "against us" mentality, forcing people to choose sides whether they want to or not.
This is no longer these United States but these Divided States.
Liberty isn't given to us; it is taken by us, and if not, we will not have it.
