It's Been My Experience
after much time spent in animal rescue and training including horses, cats, dogs, and some wildlife, that most dogs and horses at least reflect the behavior of their owners/trainers. If the owners are generally rude, inconsiderate insensitive jerks that have emotional problems or total lack of manners, the animals in their care are pretty much the same. Contrary to human belief animals can be taught to behave in a cordial fashion and if they bite, bark, attack and generally act like assholes it's because they are a reflection of how they have been taught and treated. Some people intentionally teach their dogs to be aggressive as a compensation for THEIR shortcomings if you get my drift. That is why many pitbulls get put down. And the WORST dogs are the small ones!
