But still don't understand the idea of "shooting the messenger" rather than listening to the message itself. I remember when Mr. Duke ran for Governor...his idea was to make welfare and all government aid a temporary thing...that you had 2 years to get your act together, then the aid stops. It was supposed to be, in his words, "a temporary crutch, not a lifestyle". I can't argue with his logic, but the public wouldn't listen to any of it because of his past associations. Pretty dang narrow-minded...a good idea is a good idea, no matter the source.
