This is a very fair refresher post of yours, with which I wholeheartedly agree, AFAIC.
Yes, there is a typo (don't know if it comes from the video that I haven't watched... yet):
he was known as "Voltaire", not "Voltare".
Not that I am a big fan of his thinking, as he was often mostly insolent just for the sake of it, but he did make witty quotes about TPTB and the peoples in all times, granted.
(you know... those damn French ;)
We ought to always use our best judgment before posting AND before reading others, IMO.
And we can always choose not to read/to ignore what we find too offensive, anyway. Can't we?
