In that Kevin Trudeau book

"Natural Cures They Don't Want You To Know About" (That is "They" with a capital T!)

I know it seems like a hokey book, but I'll read anything that I can learn something from and this is what I learned in this book (among other things).

He says, as a rule of thumb, never eat anything produced by a publicly traded company. Here is a perfect example as to why. Public companies (Kellogs, ticker K, trades on the New York Stock Exchange) answer first to their shareholders. They exist to make money, first and foremost. As a result, they cut corners. But further, they are masters of image manipulation. as we now know with their "Kashi" line. They know exactly the buttons to push, the strings to pull to make it "look" healthy without ever coming out and saying it. They have the resources to put into PR & marketing that create the illusion that we buy into without questioning.

Here is another rule of thumb, that I read in some hippy vegan book:

If it is made from a plant, eat it.
If it is made in a plant, don't eat it.

Ha ha ha.

He's the man.
