Comment: I'm only about 3 hours from a major city

so I guess I'm hoping it's a huge solar storm that makes cars useless rather than a simple grid-down situation. If people are on foot there's a high pass to hike over. That should slow 'em down. At that point there will be a lot of death and avoiding it will be everyone's primary occupation.
