I think...
... the point of Hoffman's arguement was... two differenct scholars questioned the verasity of death tolls concerning two different events.
One scholar was ultimately jailed because of it. The other was not.
The scholar who was jailed was questioning Jewish death tolls, while the other scholar was questioning German death tolls.
Why were these scholars treated differently, when in essence they were doing the same thing?
