Comment: A question for the sound junkies
A question for the sound junkies
Good morning you liberty lovin' sound junkies.
Did anyone here notice how well System of a Down's song , Chop Suey, related to 9/11.
From what I understand, the song was written to bring attention to the Armenian genocide, and was written pre-9/11 so it had nothing to do with the American massacre. However for me, the timing was such that the song helped me deal with the events.
Some samples of lyrics:
I don't think you trust
In, my, self righteous suicide
I, cry, when angels deserve to die, DIE
Wake up
Father into your hands, I commend my spirit
Father into your hands
why have you forsaken me
In your eyes forsaken me
In your thoughts forsaken me
In your heart forsaken, me oh
Trust in my self righteous suicide
I, cry, when angels deserve to die
In my self righteous suicide
I, cry, when angels deserve to die
The founders would be ashamed at us for what we are putting up with.
