I think I heard or read somewhere that eBay maintains synthetic stats datasets on the overall volumes of deals over this or that, for a given period... Maybe there might even be an API exposed somewhere, to query/poll into once in a while.
Link about PMs raw data alike much appreciated if you have the info already.
This is only eBay, but that might contribute us useful, recent clues on what's actually going on behind home doors and keyboards today.
