The contracts Apple makes are

The contracts Apple makes are no different than other large companies, just a little more tight because that's how Steve Jobs ran his ship. He had a lot of supply problems early on in the 80's, and was hated by many for his management style. There is no doubt he was a control freak, and was not afraid to slit some throats. and once he got control of the company againhe wasn't about to put up with any crap. However, If a company is going to supply to Apple exclusively, it wasn't because Jobs put a gun to their head. He brokered a deal that worked for everyone, and provided a new market for goods and services that did not exist before. A lot of companies took a leap of faith with him, and their investment paid off. It also led to loyalty.
