If there's a good reference for the concept he's describing it may be, "Only the Sith deal in absolutes."
In the grand scheme of things, Beck's still on a journey in the right direction towards Liberty's corner. He will never be able to bring his ship all the way in, but let's not use that as a reason for him to feel unwelcome in our port.
I would much rather have people feel welcome coming in our direction in whatever way they're most comfortable than to demand that everyone abandon their current positions to take up an absolute libertarian ideology.
Many people come to it over time anyway by just starting the journey.
Let's them start the journey with a small issue, and soon they'll be on our side. This is how the Socialists/Statists have won so much of the nation, by making folks feel comfortable moving their direction.
