Not sure why you think it is lack of humility to report such a suspicious thing when this whole Sandy Hook matter has been nothing short of controversial and suspicious.
As to your question about whether they've come for the guns, kicked in the door, or if the military is marching down the street demanding the guns, realize it is that which we wish to prevent.
So when the gov't/media is beating the war drums for gun control, and other places are already enacting unconstitutional gun control measures, and they are using the very fishy Sandy Hook incident to incite such things, it is hardly lack of humility to speak up and call attention to the bs. Rather, it would seem to be our duty. Certainly it is the duty of the press, as they are supposed to be the watchdog, and they seem to be falling short.
