Miinor point...

For those unfamiliar with home schooling, it is worthwhile to note that state mandates vary from state to state. It is not really true that all states demand testing and attempt to limit curriculum as suggested in the article. Most states do, and I think almost all states demand some kind of "schooling." However, there are a couple states where the demands are relatively minimal. In those states, parents/children really have no excuse whatsoever for being influenced by attempted control---at least for the time being.
