Self ownership is very important and I was not trying to give it, or natural rights theory in general, short shrift. But I was trying to make it an essay and not a treatise:)
I am working on a book that covers the evolutionary origin of rights, the nature of rights, and much more. I just thought a few concepts might help the debate and also I wanted to make a plea for truce between us all.
I think we all like the Rule of Law, at least, though we may disagree on other things and whether they are hard principles or soft guidelines. Ancaps want the Rule of Law to be perfectly inviolate by virtue of no laws existing to potentially violate it.
