Wonder how many Marines saw that and said "Thank God". Read story not long ago about soldiers serving their commitments, trying to leave then being called back for more service despite them wanting to get out the military and be back in America.
I though about having the military pay for my medical school and was warned by a Navy doctor that I'd better be interested in a full career b/c even though they say my requirement is 1 yr per year of school payed, they can and will call me back for the max 8 more years after I do what I owe them.
Many in our "volunteer" army have finished the time they volunteered for and are being held in against their will - cut those salaries and let these men/women come home.
