Well, I have a friend that admits that he is Satanist...
he is, also, someone who voted for Ron Paul.
Satanists don't necessarily worship Satan. The way I understand it..
They appreciate the way that Satan went against the grain, in the stories.
They don't believe that there is a "Satan", but that the idea of straying from the status quo is appropriate when it benefits yourself.
They believe that you don't have to accept that you are responsible for someone else if you don't have that obligation. For example, if you didn't contribute to giving birth to that child, then you shouldn't have to pay for it.
If you don't care about something or someone, that is not directly something you are responsible for, then you have a right to blow it off.
Satanism is very much a capitalistic and libertarian ideology.
Love thy enemy.
