It wasn't till I became 90-95 percent vegan (except for seafood occasionally) that I felt much better. And my body didn't need to "adjust."
You can ignore the evidence that meat and dairy cause cancer and heart disease (and diabetes, osteoporosis, arthritis) if you want, of course, but you cannot argue with the evidence without a basis for the argument. You have none because there is none.
Look at the countries with the highest rates of breast cancer -- Holland, Switzerland, England, the U.S. -- and the fact that they consume the most dairy by far in the world. Countries that consume little to no dairy have practically no known cases of breast cancer. It's not a coincidence.
