Some people don't understand...

that governments are created by people, so government would not exist if not for people. Even at the tribal level, members delegate authority to elders who are chosen to arbitrate disputes. And Thomas Jefferson's concept of Ward Republics is based on the idea that smaller is better when it comes to government, i.e., power vested in local government best represents the interests of citizens. I agree with Jefferson's efforts to limit the power of central government, empower states, and delegate most of the decision making authority to individual citizens.

Jefferson's concept of limited government is the same as those who currently advocate for limited government.
