Sometimes, I wonder if it's better to

scratch the idolatry clause and believe in the God that you chose to believe in. That way we can have seven billion unique ideas about God that could be collated into one (if you so desire), rather than a 'ONE SIZE FITS ALL' God that may at once be a loving trinitarian spirit and then a brutally tyrannical autocratic deity.

Think about it - it's not like all human people through all history were born into a culture that taught Christianity. There have been entire communities that lived in natural harmony (e.g. indigenous cultures), never having known of the Judeo-Christian beliefs and yet thrived.

I believe in the freedom to be what we choose to be.
