I really liked what you shared

Thank you.
I agree, this conversation is necessary and I too love this beautiful community found here at Daily Paul...what a colorful tapestry of all kinds of talents, voices, passions...all
united by the cause of Liberty!
For me, liberty is found in a person...a beautiful person named Christ Jesus.
In Him I continue to be set to be all that He desires and created me to be.
You brought up the subject of purgatory and I thought you might find it interesting to learn where the definition of the word 'purgatory' comes comes from the Greek word *pyr* and means "Fire--purifying fire", not a literal fire but a spiritual fire. The Greek word "Pyr" is where we get our English words "pure", "purify", "purity", "purgatory"!

I find it interesting that the Catholic church (and I'm not catholic either) understood this concept of purifying fire and so they interpreted this concept by bringing forth their doctrine of *purgatory*.
I also wanted to share that the word "eternal" is understood by many to mean a unending period of time, the truth is that the essence of eternal is not based on time but on the unchangeable nature of God and this quality of unchangeabilty is why He is timeless, never ending. He is unchangeable because He is incorruptible and because of His incorruptibility He is eternal.
Thus "eternal" is a state of being...and denotes the QUALITY of life, and this quality of life is what is called in the Greek "aionian life" --age during life, age-lasting life, life is eternal (quality) life and because of this it will last through the ages.
Once again, I was blessed by what you shared.

His blessings to you.

Jesus is the saviour of the WHOLE WORLD, "As in Adam all die, so too in Christ ALL shall be made alive." (ICor.15:22) All means all. The pagan 'hell' of literal fire & eternal torment is a lie and is SPIRITUAL TERRORISM.
