Then there will just be all of us, sitting in our bedrooms / living rooms / on our couches / on our toilets / in our dens / at our kitchen tables / staring at our phones - isolated and alone.

Instead of worrying about offending people, read this book. Actually all you need to read is the title (I haven't read the book, either, though I have it (simply because I love the title)).
