Letter sent to Senator Merkley (Oregon)

No American should be killed by a drone on American soil without first being charged with a crime, without first being found to be guilty by a court.

As one of your constituents, I insist that you hold the executive branch of our government in check and protect my civil liberties as an Oregonian and American citizen.

Taking it a step further, use of drones with cameras or weapons for domestic purposes (any reason) must be banned.

Furthermore.. 'pattern' based drone strikes have killed over 200 innocent children in the middle east. Use of autonomous lethal drones in war must be banned.

Although I appreciate your email today about your Environmental record (which I do support)....

I challenge you to take your responsibility to protect my personal freedom seriously. I urge you to immediately and vocally use your power to limit the executive branch in the area of drones.

Stand up right now in today's Senate filibuster against drones, like your fellow Senator Ron Wyden just did. I am watching live on CSPAN now.
