balderdash

Your error is believing that petitions amount to something. Our Founders sent the 'Olive Branch' petition and how well did that work out? What worked were their Declarations: the Declaration & Resolves of Oct 14, 1774, the Declaration of Taking Up Arms July 6, 1775, until finally the DoI and it's these Declarations that did more for the effort than any petition ever could as they united and moved the inhabitants into action. But today we're not fighting a king across a pond but an a warty toad in a swamp!
The war is coming. No petition or even declaration will stop it. Our government has been usurped and the most we can do is prepare, and most importantly, learn our history, expound on our founding principles and preserve our founding documents. People may be loathe to understand this, but the murder of Al-Aulaki was the 'shot heard round the world' as it gave the current empire the right to kill any American, anywhere, any time and annihilated our Constitution.

If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.
