You think you, and those like you, are going to claim the future. The truth is that you are being misdirected.

If the media is playing friendly with Paul and Cruz, there are two possibilities; either Paul & Cruz are corrupt, or the powers that be are using them. If Paul doesn't swear allegiance to the powers that be, he will never be president. End of story. Presidents are selected, not elected, and there will be no miracles.

The last time a president stepped out of line, they shot him in broad daylight. Do you not understand?

There are real, genuine avenues through which their system of power can be weakened. Is supporting Rand Paul one of them? No.

What's more, the liberty movement is incorrect in a number of its assertions. In fact, that it is the "liberty movement" at all, is extremely telling. Let us take an obvious point: equality. Equality between people does not exist, and it never ever will. People have different physical, mental, and spiritual attributes and aptitudes.

This was well known to the founders of this country, though they erred in their interpretation of that truth while writing the constitution. They did, to their credit, ensure strict limitations on who could vote, and on who was fit for political office. Unfortunately, democracy is much like a cancer, and it spread down to those less able. The erosion of those limitations is one of the most obvious reasons for our political, and societal deterioration.

You see? Even if the liberty movement was entirely successful in its political goals, the unfit political body, and the very nature of democracy, would in quick order return us to tyranny. Liberty lovers like yourself put no barriers to the spreading of cultural memes, even entirely harmful ones. The elite would take full advantage, and before long, we'd be back where we started.

Democracy is a love of freedom, and tyranny is the absolution of freedom, for the select few. What is a tyrant? It is one who is free, even to hurt others. Democracy, and its spirit of freedom will always give birth to these people, and the many, wishing for equality, will always give power to the tyrant class to take materially from the wealthy.
