Ugh. I gotta say, I've been a gamer since my parents bought me a Super Nintendo in '93, and the last thing we need is more Jack Thompsons running around. I'm not a big fan of modern games (specifically the FPS) and there's no question that games like CoD have the potential to desensitize people to shooting. Hell, the Army has their own FPS for just that reason. But does it desensitize people any moreso than violent movies? Television? Comic books? Of course not. It's nothing that can't be fixed by education from parents and peers about ACTUAL firearm safety and usage.
Seriously, screw people who don't respect my FREEDOM to play whatever the hell I want.
