Detroit was a city before Michigan became a territory.

If this is a bankruptcy case why doesn't it go to the courts. Why is it the State's business?

The nanny state strikes again. Except the State is Bankrupt or would be if they weren't getting Federal Aid borrowed from the Federal Reserve.

The state of the Detroit can be measured by the number of City employees, the number of unfunded pension liabilities being paid.

But how many taxpayers are there?

Detroit was a small but thriving city in Colonial times. How did they manage that?

However they managed, it was with a limited government.
