as a tool to gain acknowledgement. The risk is leaving a brightly lit trail when you do something that is questionably legal, and I object especially when that trail leads directly to us. As someone below has pointed out, if you walk up to an ATM that the previous user left their card in and gained access to their account, the use of that account to gain access is clearly illegal. What makes anyone think a military email account would be looked at in a different manner? The deed is the crime and not the consequence, ask Assange.
