I don't know why, but, frequently I used to refer to myself as a "Ron Paul guy," as the guy did in the video. But I find myself using it in a negative light. Similar to this guy, the cop might think the man is acting strange, almost crazy, the man gets the hint or at least feels a little, lack of a better term, guilty, so he just lays it out there "I'm a Ron Paul guy." As if that should clear the air, make sense of his crazy behavior.
He's almost using that statement as an apology. Not sure, but, I stopped doing that and started saying I lean more libertarian, which always drives the statement..."Ohhh, your a Ron Paul guy..." (by the way I'm finding happening less and less) to which I reply, I agree with a lot of what he says.
Being a "Ron Paul guy" isn't a negative thing, I've just found myself using it negatively in the past, and wandered if others have as well...
